| Apparently I am going to give this whole role-playing thing another shot. After doing a log via gDocs with missbossyboots for beyondcrisis, and talking to heathendoctor about things, I've been allowed to pick-up one of my characters there again (Dee, or amazingamazon), since she's still around and shouldn't be too hard to get back into. I'm still catching up and trying to figure out what's been going on since my absence, and if anyone wants to help me by commenting by what your peeps have been up to it'd be greatly appreciated!Other than that, I can't believe it's been about 2 months since I last posted here, yikes. I hope everyone's well and I'll try to be better about posting here again, since I actually will have rp stuff to write about now again. :D | ||||||||

| I keep forgetting to do this during the week and on the weekends I've been busy with other things, so no time like the present. I've spoken to all of the GMs of my games (or at least one of them when there's more than one) awhile back, and told them that I'm giving up all of my characters and retiring from RPing, for lack of a better term. I just haven't been around at all lately, not even on AIM, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I have been on a bit more lately, but nowhere near as much as I was before. Mainly I've been busy with work and when I'm not working I'm playing an MMO (mainly with sarawise) and that's been basically all I've done lately. That, coupled with general blahs and being unable to write anything at all lately, lead me to that decision.I still want to be around and talk to everyone, and watch the games, and I won't be deleting this journal or my LJ, or defriending anyone or anything like that. I just don't think it's fair for me to be holding characters / slots in games that I just haven't been playing and don't see changing in the future. I have had tons of fun over the years though, and played with a lot of you for years now, and just to be clear here I don't want to lose contact with anyone, but yeah. Ok, that being said it's time for bed. I hope everyone's well and I'll be talking to you all in the near future I hope. ♥ [eta]> I will also make ooc posts in all my games too, just too tired atm, sorry! | ||||||||

| I've skipped a lot of the most recent ones but I like the sound of this one. For this, all of my characters apply. Pick one and comment and I'll tell you: a.) What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her. b.) One of his/her best traits. c.) One of his/her worst traits. d.) How easy/difficult I find it to write the character. e.) The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/p f.) My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future. | ||||||||

| Step 1: Put your iTunes or equivalent on random. Step 2: Post the first line from the first 50 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing. Step 3: Strike out the songs when someone guesses the titles and artists correctly and put the name of the song/who sings it and the username of the person who guessed it at the end of the lyric. | So, it's the weekend again, huzzah! Sadly it's the wee small hours of Sunday morning and I should really pop into the office for an hour or two later on, but other than that things are ok. Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself by saying this but things are getting back under control in the office, and I hope it stays that way for awhile. This means I should be around a fair bit more. I've been staying off of AIM and putting in some extra work, and when not working I've been LOTRO-ing it up hardcore as an escape. While that's been good too, it's the kind of thing that once I get into it it ends up taking over my entire day / night, hehe. So I'm going to try and get back into rp mode again, as I have a few apps to finish up (one that I finished and sent off earlier this week got approved today, woo) and things to do. | Ugh, it's so hot here in my office, I hate it. We have air conditioning but it only works on the main office area and never cools my room, boo. I have my fan on but that's not really doing much other than blowing the hot air around a little. Anyway! I've been failing hardcore when it comes to all things rp this last week or so, and work is being a major pain again and I don't know when it's going to stop. I'm therefore taking a hiatus for awhile, probably a week or so, until I can see Hopefully it won't last for too long! | ||||||||

| Or, more accurately, me returning to The Dark Knight. My cousin called me today to see if I wanted to go into the city to see the movie, as he hasn't seen it yet. That was the original plan but I wanted to see it sooner than that and called him last night before seeing it here at home, but he wasn't around. I'm going to go in with him to see it again though, since it was a good movie after all, and the most fun from these excursions is the hour long drive to and from and catching up with my cousin, as well as any detours we may make to the comic shop or other places. I'm at the office now trying to punch in an hour or so before we go and failing miserably. Even with no distractions such as other people milling about or the phone ringing off the hook I still manage to make my own. Curse you Firefox and the window(s) you give me into the internet, only not at all. Also, randomly, I popped into the drug store next door to the office to get something cold to drink and while waiting in line I was amused to see so many former pbs of mine on magazine covers at the checkout line. I counted two Anne Hathaways, one Zooey Deschanel, one Leighton Meester and I think there may have been an old Kristen Bell one there somewhere. Good times! Also also, using this icon again because I really dig it. :D | ||||||||

| For everyone wondering about LJ Login and Firefox 3.0, it's now compatible but you have to reinstall it from here. Woo! I'm all excited about being back in Evo again, and I definitely need to get some logs done all up in there. | I actually wouldn't mind doing a meme but I have very few active characters at the moment for the ones that are going around, alas. It's all good though! I've been wanting to do a new layout for my current/retired character page for ages but I can't seem to do what I want to do with it, which is very annoying. Looking at the page and trying to figure out how to design it has also made me very reminiscent and has made me miss a bunch of my old characters. I went back and read a bunch of old logs which was nice, but it makes me a little sad that I'm not using those characters any more, or that those games are no longer active. I am glad to be doing stuff in Evo again though, that's nice. I'm in the middle of a gDoc log with the lovely stupidfingers but once that's posted it'll be open season for logging with Izzy / making posts and the like. She'll definitely want to talk to Silas though, so consider yourself warned thecheerleader!Oh yeah, speaking of games, hey actone, are you still planning on playing Havok in TMI? I've only recently gotten in there and haven't done that much with it yet, just wondering if you're still in the process of finishing up your app or something. | ||||||||

| So, today I got an e-mail that my character for TMI has been approved, yay! Now I need to make a journal and get him into the game. I also made an OOC post for into_overdrive, so she should be back into the game in the next week or so once things calm down there. Good times! I haven't done much work with Shadowrun stuff lately, but given that it'll be a few months at least before I can actually play that's not too bad. I have an idea in mind, I just need to work on the stats and write it all down and I'm done. I also ordered dice which are now on their way to me from Indiana, two blocks of d6's just like the ones in my icon. I want to redo my whole character chart too, but I'm not quite sure how to go about doing it. I have an idea of what I want to make, I just need to take an evening or an afternoon to mess around with it and see what I can make of it I guess. Maybe some time this weekend! We shall see. | ||||||||

| I finally finished my application to TMI and e-mailed it to the mods last night. I even managed to get in a log at BC last night. There are also plans for a little plottage with bc!Noah which should be fun too. Yay for activity! This whole Breed game that everyone's posting apps and info for sounds pretty cool. If I was into the whole vampire/werewolf thing more I'd give it a shot, but alas I fail in that area. Right now all I have is BC and an app into TMI, and hopefully Evo in the next little while, and I think that's a good place to start activity-wise anyway. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew and end up getting overwhelmed again anyway. I'm also working on my first pen & paper character in aaaaages, using Shadowrun 4.0 for the first time. I'm hoping to get to play when I visit sarawise in Philadelphia when she moves there this fall, which is a nice ways off I know but I wanted to buy the book and read up on it beforehand. Part of me wants to get the new D&D 4th ed. rules when they come out this week too, even though I don't have anyone to play with, heh. Well, some friends of mine in the city used to years ago, maybe they will when the new rules are out? I should look into this and see. | ||||||||

| I'm back from Boston! And need to catch up on my rp stuff, which is just Beyond Crisis at the moment. Well, I did catch up on it last night by reading the comm, but I need to catch up as in log with people and get back into the swing of things too. If anyone's up for some loggage, just let me know! I put in a hold on this LJ game recently, and made a journal for evo!Izzy again (though I think they're in a middle of a big plot so I have to wait to re-app there), but other than that things are quiet on the rp front. Oh, there's Nat's upcoming DC game too I think, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Which may be a good thing for now, hopefully getting back on the BC ball will help me get back into RPing in general. We will see! | ||||||||
