Wow, I haven't written in here in forever. x.x But yes, rp'd a bit lately again and consequently came back here, and saw this meme in Nat's journal. Seeing as the whole reason I'm trying to log again is out of nostalgia for the good ol' days, I couldn't pass this meme up. :)

10 Favourite Characters (in no real order, though tnc!Sara is pretty much #1 all-time)

1. tnc!Haywire // Sara McKenzie
Should be no surprise here, really. She's lasted the test of time, inspiring me to write a whole ton of fic (along with my lovely wife's OC creation, Ruby Ryan, of course), even an entire NaNo novel length project. I still want to write more about her, and them together, though I'm running low on ideas lately. Who knows what will happen in the future though!

2. btx!Thorn // Paul Hemingway
My first journal based rp character. He was an older character I had made for IRC and then converted into a journal one, as was Haywire for that matter. Paul hda a nice, long run and got to interact with a lot of interesting characters from btx, and lead me into meeting a lot of awesome people along the way, so he's got to be high on the list for that reason alone.

3. dx!Iceman // Bobby Drake
One of my longest played characters ever, second only to dx!Angel I think (since I started him first in the game), Bobby was a ton of fun to play. He's still my favourite X-Man / Marvel character, and getting to play him for such a long time in as good a game as District X was a real treat. I miss him sometimes, and have thought about writing for him too lately, but again can't think of any ideas. Yet!

4. hl!Shade // Susan Edmonds
Ahhh, Susan. She was so much fun to play, and even though she was only my 2nd female character ever (made at a time when tnc!Sara was still pretty new to me) her voice came easily to me and I loved writing her so much. Especially writing her along with Gordon playing her BFF, Lily. I really miss playing her.

5. tnc!Bloodhound // Caleb Parks
Caleb, oh, Caleb. He was effortless to play for the most part, too, though the final parts with the heartbreaking loss of Jess were hard to do. I can still remember coming up with his power and thinking that it was a great idea for an OC, and writing him from there. Right from the initial idea it was a blast to write and play this guy, and I've still got a few ideas for him / rewriting the character that I'd love to play with one of these days.

6. xc!Cannoball // Sam Guthrie
X-Cure was such a fantastic game, a fact of which I'm sure I don't have to remind you all, and I was glad to have a couple of characters in there for pretty much the whole time. Jamie came later on, but Sam was there from the beginning of the game. So much to work with, in terms of great plot and in terms of great players with which to log, it made for a lot of great logs and memories. I still wish I had done a bit more with him, as there were some gaps when I didn't log or rp for awhile, but overall I'm happy with what I did manage to get done with him.

7. mh!Forge // Uh... Forge
Forge was a character I had never attempted before this game (and never did after that either), and it was a nice, refreshing change. I really loved the idea of this game, and had a lot of great logs with Noriko (played by my wife), Tessa (Zoe), and Tarot (another of Gordon's characters and Forge's significant other). The only bad thing about him was trying to find icons, hehe.

8. tg!Cyclops // Scott Summers
Scott was a lot of fun to play, although being my first ever attempt at a canon character for me (well, second actually; first I played by oc btx!Paul and then btx!Rusty, but I didn't know anything about Rusty - still don't! - so he was more of an OC than canon to me) it was intimidating as hell to try. Thankfully, between logging a lot with Nat, who was a big help, and everyone else in the game (JM was a big help too!), he became easier to play, and thanks to great plot I had a lot to work with. It made me more willing to take on canon characters and lead to a lot of great opportunities later on for me.

9. an!Wallflower // Laurie Collins
Laurie was so much fun to play too, she fits into my comfortable zone of rp so well that it's not even funny, seriously. Having Wes eventually jump in and play Sofia gave me a huge boost too, and once again Gordon played an integral role with his amazing Russian character, Roman.

10. be!Overdrive // Isabelle Gagnon
Izzy was always fun to play, I even brought her back after dropping the game once and tried it again, though my rp resurgence did not last for long, sadly. Maybe it was the Canadian aspect to her, or the fact that I got to pretend to speak French, but something about her just made her a lot of fun for me. I really like her powerset too, even if it's not the most original. Someday I'd like to write more about her, too, but we'll see.

9 PBs You'd Like To Use

1. James Roday - The star of Psych, an awesome tv show I've gotten into recently. Were I an avid RP'r again I would love the chance to use him as a PB for Bobby or an OC along those lines or something.
2. Russell Brand - Just a hilarious guy and I bet there a bajillion awesome pics to make icons from for him, haha.
3. Felicia Day - Yes, I'm a total fanboy, I know, but still!
4. Gabrielle Miller - an actress from a now finished Canadian comedy who'd be nice to use as a PB, I always thought. Not a lot of pictures of her, though, sadly.
5. Ralph Fiennes - Used him for a brief while in Anonymous, but didn't really get to do anything with him.
6. Katee Sackhoff - Huge BSG fan here and would've loved to have had the chance to use her somewhere, somehow.
7. Seth Green - Always wanted to use him for something, but could never come up with a character, or he was already in use in the game, I think.
8. Paul Rudd - He's the man, he'd be fun to use, and a ton of awesome pics of him too, I bet.
9. Sandra Bullock - Used to have such a huge fascination with her, omg, and did make her an NPC's PB in The Initiative, my infinitessimally short-lived RP.

1. tnc!Caleb/Jess. Definitely the best one I've had, period. Poor Jess. :/
2. btx!Paul/Grace. My first one ever, d'aww.
3. tg!Scott/Jean. Classic!
4. tnc!Sara/Simon. So, so goofy and fun while it lasted!
5. dx!Warren/Jean. Such passion, and such an ending, too. Lots of dramaaaaaaaaa.
6. mh!Forge/Marie-Ange. Very sweet and innocent.
7. dx!Bobby/Gemma. Haha omg looking back there's so much wtf at times here, but it was fun.
8. dx!Bobby/Cordy. Came on late in the game but was a lot of fun, and had lots of potential.

Honourable mention: axm!Kitty/Piotr. The game died both times before they could actually become a ship, but shh, they were such awkward fun I had to put them in here somewhere.

1. I suck at running games, but if I could I'd... well, given my own thoughts of late and looking back at the old school rps I was in, I'd probably open an old-school, fresh start X-Men game again. Yeah, it's been done 1,000,001 times, but it was fun back in the day. Shh, I know I'm an old sentimentalist. :)
